Al joined Groove in 2017 as the Director of Technology, bringing two decades of web development, data management, and systems architecture
experience in digital marketing, advertising technology, and eCommerce. Groove tapped Al for his expertise in adopting new technologies and his track record of building processes for technology teams to scale as client needs grow.
Al’s role as Director of Technology is to ensure every Groove client is utilizing the best technology stack to fit their expanding needs as revenue grows, while anticipating future needs.
Prior to joining Groove, Al served as Chief Digital Officer for a large independent brand advertising firm. Al built the technology group from the ground up and integrated agile workflows for development to meet the demands of large national and international clients as they entered emerging digital platforms.
Al is a Baltimore native and lives in the ‘burbs with his wife Melissa, their 4 children, a cat, and a goofy dog named Charlie. Outside of the office, Al can be found coaching one of his sons’ baseball teams, performing on stage as a lead guitarist as he’s done for 25+ years, or studying Muay Thai kickboxing.
